Childcare is a family affair

We welcome parents into our program with friendly words and an open door. The quality of our programming is enhanced by your involvement, ideas, concerns and experiences.

Family participation

Parents and early childhood educators are members of one team. Families are encouraged to visit, ask questions, share what is happening at home and participate in the life of the program whenever possible.

Communication expectations

Please check in with your child's caregiver regularly. Share how your child is doing on good days and difficult days, and expect the same honest, caring communication about your child's day at the centre.

• Keep your child's caregivers informed about routines, health and special instructions.
• Ask about the daily program and your child's interests.
• Work cooperatively with staff to maintain a welcoming home-away-from-home.
